WOW Conference – July 14-15, 2011
WOW, Girls! The Sky Can Be Your Limit

Wings of Women, a two-day conference July 14-15, offers girls 13-17 an opportunity to meet and be inspired by successful women in the many fascinating and challenging fields of aviation.
Sponsored by the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) here in Dayton, WOW’s aim is to stir girls’ interest in their futures, introduce them to career opportunities, resources that are available, and demonstrate that it is possible to achieve success in aviation, and in life. The WOW Conference is held in conjunction with the NAHF annual Enshrinement dinner and ceremony.
Meet and talk with four of the WASP — Women Airforce Service Pilots — the women who flew military airplanes in World War II, though no one thought they could. Listen to their stories of their flying and their training. Meet Colonel McGee and Tuskegee Airmen who will share their stories.
Climb aboard and tour the C-17 — the Air Force’s biggest cargo carrier. Mammoth in size, it will hold at least two full-size buses.
Tour of the National Aviation Hall of Fame where you can fly an aircraft simulator.
Get acquainted with Dayton’s historical aviation heritage.
Participants also have the opportunity to take an EAA-sponsored Young Eagles flight in a small aircraft at Moraine Airpark on Saturday July 16
The $20 conference registration includes a Continental breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Call 256-0944 ext. 17 with questions. Come meet and be inspired by successful women. WOW will help you develop your personal “flight plan” toward future goals. Come with YOUR EYES ON THE SKY.
The National Aviation Hall of Fame is located adjacent to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
