WOW Conference – 2015

WOW, Girls! The Sky Can Be Your Limit

Wings of Women annual mentoring program will take place October 2015. This exciting event offers girls 13 – 17 an opportunity to meet and be inspired by successful women in the many fascinating and challenging fields of aviation. Enjoy a day filled with career exploration, discovery, inspiration and fun! Each girl walks away with her head full of dreams and her hands full of resources to reach for those dreams.

WOW’s aim is to stir girls’ interest in their futures, introduce them to career opportunities, resources that are available, and demonstrate that it is possible to achieve success in aviation, and in life. The WOW Conference is held in conjunction with the NAHF annual Enshrinement dinner and ceremony.

Meet the WASP’s – Women AirForce Service Pilots – the women who flew military airplanes in World War II, though no one thought they could. Listen to their stories of their flying and their training. Meet the first woman to be an airline captain for a major airline. Enjoy a visit with Bessie Coleman (living history).

Climb aboard and tour the C-17 – the Air Force’s biggest cargo carrier. Mammoth in size, it will hold at least two full size buses.

Celebrate National Aviation Hall of Fame’s 50th Anniversary and participate in WOW.
