WOW Conference – July 16, 2010
WOW, Girls! The Sky Can Be Your Limit

The word is WOW! The second annual Wings Of Women Conference will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 at the National Aviation Hall of Fame in Dayton. Young women grades 9 through 12 are invited — in fact urged — to participate.
Activities include flying an aircraft simulator and learning to build your own aircraft wing to spec. Participants also will have the opportunity to take an EAA-sponsored Young Eagles flight in a small aircraft at Moraine Airpark.
Other mentors and speakers who will work closely with the participants include Emily Howell Warner, the first woman to fly for a modern major airline; Joan Mace, former director of the aviation department at Ohio University; and Sandra Campbell, an FAA executive who does an inspirational impersonation of the first black woman to earn her private pilot’s license, Bessie Coleman.
The $20 registration includes a Continental breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Call 256-0944 ext. 17 with questions. Come meet and be inspired by successful women. WOW will help you develop your personal “flight plan” toward future goals. Come with YOUR eyes on the sky.
The National Aviation Hall of Fame is located adjacent to the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
